The inaugural Rendez-Vous Riviera took place at The Saint-Tropez Polo Club. The aim was create a new style of motoring event that felt more like a high-end private party than a car show, and it was a spectacular success with over 40 fabulous cars on display including the Ferrari ‘halo’ cars and Everrati’s electric Porsche 964 to a trio of fabulous Ferrari Daytonas and Dallara’s Stradale and new EXP.
The exquisite day-long feast started with oysters and champagne, sushi and canapés before lobster rolls and seafood risotto were served at lunchtime. Mirabeau’s exquisite rosé flowed all day (along with their rosé gin), while the cocktail bar served Negronis, Mojitos and Dark & Stormys. Maison Noir showcased a range of new designs in three fashion shows during the day, while DJ Anna de Ferran got the dancing going along with the acoustic strolling band The Beau Ties.
Monaco-based artist Alan Walsh spent the afternoon putting the finishing touches to his wonderful portrait of Derek Bell with Steve McQueen. Plans are underway for next year’s Rendez-Vous Riviera and the details will be announced here soon.

The Event
The event is planned to coincide with Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the annual classic yacht regatta. As the locals know, this is a great time to be in Saint-Tropez – the village is buzzing but not overcrowded, and the weather is invariably warm and the skies cloudless. We arrange accommodation, either at nearby Château de la Messardière or a variety of other fine hotels. For those making a weekend of it the event starts on the Saturday evening with a beach party at one of the fabulous bars on Pampelonne Beach.
Then on Sunday the doors at the Polo Club open at midday, and Rendez-Vous Riviera begins. Music and fashion shows are interspersed with presentations of the cars, hosted this year by 5-times Le Mans winner Derek Bell & Jodie Kidd. A variety of gourmet food stations serve wide-ranging cuisine, and cocktail and champagne bars are open throughout the day.
